The following solution will instruct you on how to properly clean and prepare your Creatr HS Y bearings.

Tools:

  • a number 2 , 4 and 5 Allen key;
  • a number 7 wrench;

The first thing to do is to turn the printer off then remove the left and right side panel of the printer and the back panel as well.

       Then using a number 5 Allen key remove the top cover.

       After removing it the next step is to free up the X rods by loosening the grub screws from the assembly which holds tension in the X belt and also holds the X rods in place (see picture below).First use a number 7 wrench to loosen the nut and then loosen the grub screws using a number 2 Allen key.

       Once the X rods are loose pull them to the right side bring the bed up to the extruders and rest them on the bed.

       Now you can remove the Y assembly by unbolting the screws that holds it to the frame of the printer using a number 4 Allen key.

       Now, remove the whole assembly and loosen the belt by unscrewing the blots from the front bracket, and then you can unbolt the rod.

        Now, the last step is to remove the bearings from the belt. to do this use a piece of wire and insert in in the housing to hold the nut in place while you use a number 2 Allen key to remove the bracket that holds the belt.

      Once the bracket is off remove the broken bearings from the rod and replace them with the new ones.

      Also please note that the new bearings are already lubricated so you just have to mount them up.

ATTENTION: Please make sure when mounting the belt back onto the bearing case that it is centered in the middle of the bracket that is holding it in place.

Once the housing and the old bearings are out swap them with the replacement parts and put them back together by retracing the steps for taking them apart.
