If it is the case that you have to replace the motherboard of your Creatr HS, please follow these instructions step by step.

Tools:

  • a number 2.5, 3, 4 and 5 Allen key;
  • a star head screwdriver, and a flat head screwdriver;

The first step is to turn off the printer and to remove the power plug to avoid any electrical current running through the system.

Once the power plug is out use the number 2.5 Allen key and remove the left and right panels( each has 5 bolts Pic.1).

Now you have to remove the interior cover plate. To remove it you have to remove 7 bolts Pic.2:

- two of them with the number 5 Allen key( one on the right and one on the left);

- three bolts using the number 3 Allen key and two using the number 4 one Pic.3;

Now that you have now access to the motherboard first remove the jumper cable (A), then deattach the 4 screws in the corners.

Now it would be a good idea to take a picture of the board to know which connector has to be connected in which place.

Then deattach all cables from the old board and plug them into the right place of the new board, and keep in mind that you also have to apply the jumper cable (A) to the new board.

Also please check if the jumpers which are marked in the picture below are exactly on this position.

After you did all those steps, put the motherboard back in place and secure it with the screws in the four corners.

Then put back the interior dust cover and the side panels.

Now you just have to install the latest software and firmware and you are done:

Step 1. Update CreatrHS Stand-Alone software

Step 2. Flash new firmware on the CreatrHS

Step 3. Set extruder offset for your CreatrHS (M50)
